Wombat Crossing Vineyard is a stroll 50m across the road from Hunter Gleann—and one where every tasting can make a small but meaningful difference.
At Wombat Crossing Vineyard, the experience is deliberately unhurried. Settle in at the cellar door, take in the vineyard views and enjoy a personalised tasting of wines made exclusively from grapes grown on the property. From Hunter Valley classics such as Semillon, Chardonnay and Shiraz to limited-release wines, the focus is firmly on quality, character and a genuine connection to the land.
And when you sit down for a wine tasting, you’re helping others in need.
The current tasting fee is $10 per person, with $5 from every tasting donated directly to Cedar Creek Wombat Rescue & Hospital. Wombat Crossing also contributes a percentage of its wine sales to the organisation. So while you’re discovering a new Hunter Valley wine, part of your visit is helping provide food, medical treatment and rehabilitation for wombats in need.
It’s a beautiful example of the Hunter Valley at its best—great wine, beautiful country and people who genuinely care about the land and wildlife around them.
